Don P. Evans, DDS
Dr. Evans grew up in Essex, VT. He was the third child of four in his family. He attended Essex Junction High School. Throughout his scholastic career, he took on many roles that set him apart as a leader in his community. In high school he was a “Peer Helper” junior counselor providing a listening ear to his fellow classmates. In college, at St. Lawrence University, he expanded his leadership skills as a Resident Advisor. He was the youngest president, as a sophomore, of the university’s choral group, The Laurentian Singers. He rounded out his years at St. Lawrence as a member and finally executive member of the leadership honorary society, Omicron Delta Kappa, receiving the Sophomore of the Year award in 2002.
Dr. Evans graduated from The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2008, receiving special recognition from the American Academy of Orofacial Pain “by virtue of excellence of undergraduate studies in the classification, assessment and management of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain”. Following his predoctoral education, Dr. Evans chose to fine tune his dental skills with a year of post-doctoral education as a resident of the Ellis Hospital Dental Residency Program in Schenectady, New York. In this program Dr. Evans was exposed to the latest technology in the Dental field including having exposure to implant placement and restoration, posterior composite restorations, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Evans rarely leaves home without a deck of cards or a coin or two in his pocket, as he considers himself an amateur magician, and you never know when a good card trick will come in handy. On a similar note Dr. Evans has taught himself to juggle, and has even performed at school assemblies, and birthday parties. Each of these unique abilities were developed in order to help Dr. Evans to reach out and help people, whether it is to lend a sympathetic ear, make you smile, or fix your smile.
